Transporting WebService Datasource failed
Hey there,
I am trying to transport a WebService Datasource from dev. system to test system. But I always get some errors.
Firstly you should know that I created the datasources with help of this guide (german):

The definition of my datasourc is like that:
Tab General Info:
Description is filled
Duplicate records are not allowed.
Tab Extraction:
Delta Process is Delta Only Using Full Upload (DTP or IP Selection)
Direct Access: NO DTP Allowd for Direct Access
Real Time: Real Time Data Acquisition Supported.
Adapter: Web Service Push
Profile: Basic Auth SOAP Profile
Fixed Service Name: <Name of Datasource>
Function Module and Webservice are generated.
Convers. lang.: User Master Record.
Tab Fields: 6 Fields with InfoObject Templates.
The Datasources can be activated and generated.
Now I try to transport that Datasource. First Time I got following messages:
"Object RSDS <Name of Datasource> has not yet been imported successfully"
So I just reimported the Datasource and got following error:
"Internal Error while deleteing Web Service"
"Error when activating DataSource <name of Datasource>"
"Error when resetting Datasource <name of Datasource>"
Than I realized I forgot to maintain the descriptions and behaviour of duplicated records (already mentioned in above Datasource definition).
So I edited the Datasource and reimported it to test system and got following error:
"Error when activating DataSource <name of Datasource>"
"Error when resetting Datasource <name of Datasource>"
In testsystem the Datasource is available in an inactive state, so I try to activate it manually with program "RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL" and get following errors:
"Error when activating DataSource <name of Datasource>" Message No RSO404
"Error when resetting Datasource <name of Datasource>" Message No RSO410
"DataSource <name of Datasource> coul dnot be activated" Message no RSDS106
Manually it doesn't work because I am not allowed to activate them by programm.
But the transport user "DDIC" is allowed and is not able to transport them.
I already searched for the Message numbers and texts in SCN and in SAP Notes and googled them but unfortunately they don't help me.
So I hope you can help me with this problem.
The system we use is "SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3" SAP_BW Release 731 SP-Level 0016 Support Package SAPKW73116.
We do not use HANA.

Any FM to convert Decimal Date(RSKYFNUM0) to DATS format & vice versa
Hi BW Experts,
In a field routine i have to correct the improper dates like 31.02.2016 to 29.02.2016 but the field has data type is RSKYFNUM0 which is not allowing me to work on it since its completely decimal digit.
So can any one help me to convert it to YYYYMMDD format, then i do the operations and again set it to decimal type.

We have existing report which display Cost centre and cost element with list of plans figures/actual figures and the variance, our new request from end user to produce new report adding Profit Centre Hierarchy

Connection to external SQL AZURE database
I have been asked to connect the buildt in SAPBW on a CRM system to an external SQL AZURE database. I have now a problem and want to ask if anyone else have had similar issues.
In RSA1 I have created the source system using conn. Info MSSQL_SERVER=<FQDN server name> MSSQL_DBNAME=<DB name> and SAP can run the RSA1 check without issues.
When the customer then try to create a new DataSource SAP throws an error stating that “Table <schema>.<table name> does not exist in database system <system name>”
I can connect to the database directly from the SAP server using SQL management studio and browse to the tables they are trying to read, with the same user, as is used to create the connection from with SAP.
If I then do a connection test from DB12, SAP throws the error.

I have search the OSS for notes and the forum for similary issues and have found a lot of info regarding SQL 40515, but not really anything that helps med solve the issue in my scenario.
I am not that experienced with BW so I apologize if it is a simple fix and I am just being stupid

0FUNCT_LOC - Error in DTP
Hi All,
When we try to load data for 0FUNCT_LOC from 0FUNCT_LOC_ATTR, the dtp load fails with a dump as below -
Characteristic 0WBS_ELEMT is not WBSEL-converted.
Other inputs/Analysis done -
- We are on 7.3.4 release and there have been no recent changes related to system or the job.
- The process chain is failing since two days, earlier there were no issues.
- Infoobject 0FUNCT_LOC has 0WBS_ELEMTas its attribute.
- Conversion Routine is blank for 0FUNCT_LOC.
- Infoobject 0WBS_ELEMT has 0WBS_ELM_EX as its attribute.
- Conversion Routine is set as WBSEL for 0WBS_ELEMT and connects to FM - CONVERSION_EXIT_WBSEL_INPUT.
Do we have to set conversion routine for 0FUNCT_LOC ?

Enhance 0CO_OM_CCA_20 with company Code
Hi everyone,
i have loaded Datasource 0CO_OM_CCA_20 to BW. but i found that there is no Field company Code, therefore i need to enhance this Datasource with company Code.
On SCN Forum i found 1 Discussion about this Issue:
enhance 0CO_OM_CCA_20&nbsp; with BUKRS | SCN
the man has enhanced the Datasource with Field Bukrs from the Table GLPCA.
And i have read about Enhancing DataSources with BAdI RSU5_SAPI_BADI
But the Problem is that i don't know ABAP.
Is there any way to enchance Datasource without ABAP?
Or Could any body help me with the ABAP code in enhancing this Datasource?
Now i am reading Document about ABAP, is there any Website to leran ABAP online?

One single comprehensive Bex query versus multiple smaller ones
Hi all,
We are working on creating HR cubes in BW and have the following objects:
1- HeadCount and Personnel Actions cube
2- Time Cube
3-Payroll Cube
4- Organizational Management Cube
5- Employee Family DSO
6- Employee Education DSO
7- Loans Cube(or maybe DSO since the data is less than 2thousand records)
Now I wonder if it would be a good idea to create a single Multiprovider on all of the above data targets and then create a single query on this MP.
I know that if I create multiple bex queries for each of the sub modules, I can merge them in BO tools but my end users are not that technical savvy to learn merging queries so I am expected to simplify everything for them. Therefore I am not sure whether creating a single comprehensive query is a good idea and will not affect performance.
I guess having one single query will make it difficult to restrict authorizations for different sub modules.
Why do you recommend as the best design model?
